Elder Aaron Porter, a native of Detroit, Michigan, was born November 26, 1975, to the late Bishop Lawson Porter and First Lady Clara Porter as the seventh of fifteen children and a twin. After surviving a childhood illness that left him unconscious for 30 minutes, Elder Porter experienced a miraculous recovery and went on to live a healthy life. At 17, he was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost, and he later relocated to Indianapolis in 1999, where he serves under the leadership of his spiritual father, Bishop Lambert W. Gates, Sr., at Kingdom Apostolic Ministries. Elder Porter is happily married to Erica Porter, and together they have three children, Aaron Porter Jr., Ayanna Porter, and Aaliyah Porter; he is also a graduate of Southwestern Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has served extensively in youth, worship, pastoral, and organizational leadership, including as Senior Program Director of the Ministerial Excellence Center for PCAFI. A gifted Psalmist, author, and ministry leader, Elder Porter is passionate about strengthening others in these last days through his ministry, music, writing, and service.
